Sepragen Corporation, based in Union City, California, provides break-through products and processes to the biotechnology and nutraceutical industries for their process development and manufacturing needs. Our products enable our customers several fold higher productivity in a smaller footprint, ease of use and rapid, predictable scale up of processes from the laboratory to production. This results in lower capital outlay, lower cost of goods and rapid time to market. All products are designed and manufactured to the highest standards of quality and with the standards of traceability and cGMP compliance. Sepragen provides all the necessary documentation support and support services related to validation, IQ/OQ and follow on preventative maintenance.

In the biotechnology industry our products are used by industry leaders on four continents and are today used in making 24 FDA approved drugs. Sepragen’s growing menu of products includes both downstream and upstream products. All unique and backed by 16 patents these products include chromatography columns and accessories, column packing systems, chromatography systems, chromatography resins and bioreactors. As with its product portfolio Sepragen’s geographical footprint has also expanded with the addition of its latest manufacturing operation in India and a growing base of distributors.

Outside of biotechnology, Sepragen has developed and patented processes to isolate proteins from dairy whey, remove bitterness from citrus juices, isoflavones from soy and trace contaminants such as heavy metals and organics from process and ground water. Several of these processes have been licensed to third parties.

Vinit Saxena
CEO and Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Vinit Saxena is the founder and CEO of Sepragen Corporation, a company specializing in providing innovative and award-winning bio-processing equipment and consumables for the production and purification of biological drugs, high-end nutritional and dairy ingredients and vaccines. Sepragen's patented technologies are used globally in producing 30 FDA approved drugs including 100s of millions of doses of two approved and well known Covid-19 vaccines. Sepragen’s customers are on 4 continents and include bio-pharma industry leaders such as Abbvie, Amgen, GSK, Octapharma, Novartis, Sanofi, Takeda, Serum Institute and Biocon as well several leading nutritional companies such as Arla, Bega, Carbery and Mead Johnson. Sepragen’s products enable high throughput purifications and rapid scale-up at lower costs. Mr. Saxena’s industry experience spans over thirty-five (35) years including senior roles in marketing and manufacturing at leading life science suppliers and CMOs. Mr. Saxena is a graduate of IIT Kanpur, India and has an MS in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from U.C. Berkeley. He has authored over 15 patents and several publications in trade press and peer reviewed journals. He has been a featured presenter and chair at several industry conferences and panels. He is on the Scientific Advisory Board of The Keck Graduate Institute, Claremont, CA and served as adjunct faculty advisor to doctoral students. He is also the winner of several SBIR grants and the prestigious IR 100 award.
Henry Edmunds

Dr. Edmunds is currently acting as Chief Financial Officer of Sepragen. He also serves as President of Biopheresis. Previously, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Prometheus, a pharmaceutical company. He also served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer of SangStat Medical Corporation, and as Director of Business development at Genencor, Inc. Dr. Edmunds received his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.B.A. from the Stanford School of Business.
Renu Chabra
VP Manufacturing and Engineering
Renu Chabra is the COO of Sepragen. An engineer by training, she has 30+ years of industry experience in senior technical and executive roles in life science instrumentation, medical devices and A.I. at companies such as Varian, Quintus, Kinetech and Scanis. Renu has been at Sepragen for over 25 years and over that time has been the architect of developing Sepragen’s array of Chromatography portfolio of instruments including single-use and buffer blending systems and the innovative electronics and software that drives them. She is also the steward of Sepragen developing a company culture which is driven by people “keeping their word” and developing an extraordinarily cohesive, high-performing team of engineers and scientists that have consistently delivered world class, state-of -the-art products. In just 14 weeks her team delivered innovative large several 125 lpm Chromatography systems combined with buffer blending capabilities that enabled a client to scale up Covid vaccine scale from 40M doses/mo to 200M doses/mo during the height of the pandemic! Ms. Chabra’s has a B.S. from California State University at San Francisco. She is an inventor as well and has authored several patents.
Salah Ahmed
Director of Quality & Tech Support
Mr. Ahmed is currently Director of Quality and Technical Support at Sepragen. He over 30 years of experience in product development, manufacturing and technical support at Beatrice Foods, Dairy Research Inc and several others food and nutritional companies. Mr Ahmed thus brings with him a command of all aspects of process operations and equipment included in fermentation, separation and purification on a very large scale. Mr. Ahmed has a M.S. in Food Science from the University of Illinois.

Vinit Saxena
Mr. Saxena is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer. His background includes over 25 years of senior management experience in marketing operations at biotech companies and suppliers such as Bio-Rad Laboratories and Bio-Response (now Baxter Healthcare). Mr. Saxena started the Process Chromatography business for Bio-Rad and is credited with setting up one of the first large scale antibody production facilities in the world. Mr. Saxena has an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. He holds 6 patents.
Henry Edmunds
Dr. Edmunds is currently acting as Chief Financial Officer of Sepragen. He also serves as President of Biopheresis. Renu Chabra
Renu Chabra, Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering at Sepragen, Ms. Chabra has over 25 years of professional experience at start-up companies such as Kinetech and Transtech, and global companies such as Varian and Intergraph. Her experience includes technical management in product development, engineering, software development, manufacturing and operations including off shoring. Over the last ten years, Ms. Chabra has been responsible for the development of Sepragen’s QuantaSep chromatography workstations while directing Sepragen’s manufacturing activities. Ms. Chabra holds a B.S. from California State University, San Francisco.

Mr Martinez is an accomplished and talented entrepreneur and visionary. Mr. Martinez is the founder and CEO of Allegiance Bank. Prior to founding Allegiance he was the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Sterling Bancshares and was responsible for building the bank to over $3 Bn in assets. George currently serves on various boards and charities and mentors companies and entrepreneurs in performance-based leadership
